Japan's top model Rola's been sporting a pair of deliciously light hazel eyes lately, and it's all thanks to her LILMOON Cream Beige color contacts! These dreamy 3-tone hazel contacts feature a honey-colored base, splashed with light brown and peppered with flecks of grey, mimicking the reflection of light in the eyes. What's the most special thing about these LILMOON hazel contacts? The limbal ring. It's not solid, it's not dashed; it's gradated. This means zero harsh or unnatural edges and a pattern that seamlessly transitions into your own iris. These are the most realistic a pair of prescription colored contacts can get!

  • LILMOON Cream Beige hazel contacts have been seen on Wengie, one of Australia’s top beauty and lifestyle Youtubers.

Are colored contacts safe?

Our color contact lenses are made in Korea by manufacturers that export extensively globally. They have various health certifications from some of which include the KFDA (Korea Food and Drug Administration), MHLW (Japan Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), ISO (International Standard Organisation), CE (Conformité Européenne), KGMP (Korea Good Manufacturing Practice) and UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) at minimum. The full list for each specific product can be found in the table above. So you can rest assured when shopping with Eyecandys that any color contact lenses you purchase from our site are completely safe to use with proper care!

How do I clean and care for my contact lenses?

Here are a few dos and don’ts when it comes to colored contact lens safety.

✅ DO consult your optician or eye doctor before wearing/purchasing a pair of our lenses.

✅ DO wash and dry your hands whenever you handle your lenses or attempt insertion/removal.

✅ DO insert your color contacts after applying makeup, with clean hands.

✅ DO soak your lenses for two hours in solution prior to inserting them into your eye.

✅ DO wash your lenses in solution if they touch anything besides your eyes.

✅ DO keep your lenses case clean and regularly change the eye care solution.

✅ DO remove the contacts before you go to sleep.

Who can and can't wear colored contacts?

Unfortunately, colored contact lenses aren’t for everyone. For example, if you suffer from dry eye syndrome, contacts may not be for you. Those who are severely nearsighted may not be able to find contact lenses with a strong enough prescription to fully correct their vision.

Also, some people are allergic to the contact cleaning solution, or even the contacts themselves. As daily cleaning of contact lenses is crucial to eye health for contact wearers, an allergy to the cleaning solution poses a very real issue.

Some doctors recommend that diabetic patients avoid contact lenses as they may be more prone to infection and have more difficulty recovering from infection. Children’s eyes are particularly sensitive and fragile and wearing contacts at a young age could cause eye damage.

People suffering from the following should not wear colored contact lenses, as these eye conditions may be further irritated by inserting lenses:

  • Any eye infections (Such as conjunctivitis)
  • Any corneal conditions (Such as keratitis)
  • Any allergic eye conditions (Such as hayfever)
  • Any chronic disease of the eye (Such as glaucoma)

Please consult your eye care professional as to whether you are eligible for color contact lenses.

Are these contacts reusable?

No, these lenses are meant to be worn once and then discarded. You will not need lens cases or lens solution, unless you plan on taking them off and re-wearing them on the same day.

Will wearing colored contacts affect my vision?

Typically, colored contacts do not affect your sight. However, there can be instances where the colored part of the lens may shift over your pupil and cause temporary visual blurriness. For precautionary measures, you might want to opt for lenses with a larger optical zone (the clear centre hole) or those where the colored part doesn't extend too far into the center. The only exception is costume lenses that feature a grid or mesh design. These colored contacts are crafted to cover your pupil too, which will inevitably obscure your vision.

How does the lens subscription work?

If you need to cancel, do it anytime before the charge without penalties. Standard processing times apply to subscription orders. To manage or end your subscription, log in and click 'Manage subscription'.
