What are circle lenses?

Circle lenses are a type of coloured contact lens designed not just to change the iris colour, but also to make the eyes appear larger. They do this by incorporating a visible limbal ring—the dark ring around the iris—which enhances contrast and creates a wide-eyed, doll-like effect. While standard colour contacts are great for subtle enhancements or dramatic colour swaps, circle lenses are perfect when you want added definition or a doe-eyed aesthetic for everyday wear, makeup, or cosplay.

Do I need a prescription for circle lenses?

Just like regular coloured contact lenses, circle lenses are available in both prescription and non-prescription (plano, 0.00) formats. So whether you're near-sighted, far-sighted, or just want to switch up your eye look with 20/20 vision, there’s a pair for you. How do I choose the right size circle lens?

The diameter on your contact lens prescription refers to the base lens size, but what really determines how large your eyes will look is the graphic diameter—the printed portion of the lens. A larger graphic diameter covers more of your iris, making your eyes appear bigger. Always follow the diameter prescribed by your eye care provider, but within that range, you can choose different graphic diameters depending on your desired effect.

What styles and colours are available?

Circle lenses come in a wide variety of styles. Limbal rings may be solid black, brown, grey, or dark brown for stronger contrast, or finely dashed for a more natural blend. Some circle lenses feature two- or three-tone designs that radiate colour from the pupil in natural or vibrant hues like brown, grey, green, violet, pink, and blue.
