What are Halloween or Cosplay contact lenses?
EyeCandys offers a wide selection of Halloween contact lenses to complete any costume look—from spine-chilling to show-stopping. These costume-ready lenses are designed for comfort and safety when worn as directed, and many can be worn beyond Halloween if you're looking to keep the drama going year-round.
What are sclera contacts?
Sclera contacts cover not just the iris but also the pupil, giving you that full blacked-out demon eye or wild cat-eye effect. Mini sclera contacts offer a similar transformation with slightly more visibility, perfect for cosplay or night events.
Which scary Halloween lenses are popular?
Our white Halloween contacts are top picks for zombie costumes, while vampire contacts come in golden hues and oblong shapes to suit seductive or eerie looks. Werewolf lenses cover your natural eye colour to ensure your beastly transformation is believable. For fire-breathing dragons or fantasy creatures, opt for intense, patterned lenses with vivid colours and slitted pupils.
Can I get Cosplay or Halloween lenses with prescription?
Most of our Halloween contact lenses are non prescription to prioritise bold colour and special effects. However, we do offer a limited selection of Halloween prescription contacts. Use the prescription filter to find the right power for you. Many lenses in this collection have a yearly wear cycle, so you can reuse them for cosplay, conventions, or themed parties throughout the year.
How do I know if Cosplay or Halloween lenses are safe to wear?
Yes, when worn properly and cared for according to instructions, our Halloween contact lenses are safe. We only stock lenses from trusted manufacturers with rigorous quality controls and safety certifications. These lenses are made with the same standards as everyday colour contacts—just with a bolder twist.
Can I wear Halloween or Cosplay lenses outside of Halloween?
Definitely! Many of our Halloween contacts double as cosplay lenses, making them ideal for conventions, content creation, or just having fun with your look. From anime to fantasy, they’re the easiest way to step into a character role. Want something fun and playful instead? Try our printed emoji, galaxy, or animal print lenses for a look that stands out any day of the year.
Can I wear two different coloured lenses?
Yes! You can create a heterochromic effect—where each eye is a different colour—by buying two individual lenses. Choose a subtle contrast like green and hazel or go bold with red and blue. This rare effect naturally occurs in only 6 out of every 1,000 people, making it a conversation starter that’s impossible to ignore.
What types of Halloween or Cosplay lenses does EyeCandys offer?
Our collection includes a huge variety: from black sclera and white zombie lenses to red Sharingan contacts and icy blue princess lenses. Whether you're going for spooky, sultry, or surreal, you’ll find the perfect pair. Many lenses in this collection are designed for yearly use, giving you flexibility for multiple events.
Why are black sclera contact lenses banned?
Black sclera contacts—those that cover not just your iris but the entire visible part of your eye—are often used in professional settings, such as movie productions, haunted attractions, or theatrical performances. However, they are banned or heavily restricted in many countries, unless prescribed and dispensed by a licensed eye care professional.
These lenses are much larger in diameter than standard contacts, making them difficult to insert and remove safely. During handling, they are more likely to be contaminated by fingers, makeup, or dust, increasing the risk of serious eye infections like bacterial keratitis, corneal abrasions, or corneal ulcers. In many cases, wearers have experienced reduced oxygen flow to the eye and blurred peripheral vision, making them unsuitable for prolonged use or events requiring mobility or alertness.
Even if you're only wearing them for cosplay or Halloween, full sclera lenses are not recommended without a prescription and professional fitting.
Looking for a safer alternative?
We recommend trying a large-diameter black contact lens instead—like our Extra Magic Black. These lenses provide dramatic, iris-encompassing black coverage that’s ideal for costumes, but they leave the sclera visible, which makes them easier to clean, insert, and wear comfortably. Best of all, they’re available in both prescription and non-prescription options, and comply with international safety standards.
